Why bother coming to us rather than a test station?



Because of what happens if it fails. Book the test yourself and a fail means finding a garage, booking it in again, and going back for a retest. Book through us and the repairs are done here in our own workshop, by people who have been doing it in the same building for 35 years, and we sort the retest.



Nothing is done without your say-so and a price first.



What an MOT checks



It is the legal minimum for road safety and emissions: lights, brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, seatbelts, the body and structure, the exhaust and emissions, wipers, mirrors and the windscreen.



It is not a service and it does not check engine, clutch or gearbox condition. If you want both doing at once, we can service the vehicle at the same time.



Failed somewhere else?



Bring it to us. We can carry out the repairs and sort the retest — cars and vans, with an honest price before we start.



When is my MOT due?



Cars and vans need their first MOT three years from registration, and every year after that. You can test up to a month minus a day before it runs out and keep the same renewal date.



MOT and a service together



Most people find it easier to have both done in one go. Being under warranty does not tie you to a main dealer — we service with matching-quality parts and stamp the book, and the warranty stays intact.
